1998
Toyota Camry pulls to the right even after wheel alignment and
replacement of tires.
Car Owner Problem:
What could cause my 1998 Toyota Camry pulls to the
right?
Brakes and alignment were done twice and new tires were installed.
According to the last garage, all specifications for alignment were
right on but during cruising, the vehicle pulls to the right. The last
garage was from a Toyota dealer shop. Please help.
Tire Advisor:
Since
the alignment specs are within limits of the factory setting, I would
concentrate your effots in correcting your tires. You can try rotating
the tires diagonally from front to back and observe if there is any
change. When attempting this procedure, do it with 2 tires at a time.
In case you get the same result, you should try changing your tires to
Michelin MX4 tires for this vehicle. Most alignment garages recommend
this tire because it has the least amount of radial pull. However,
since you have just replaced your tires, try asking your vendor if they
would exchange it for Michelin MX4 brand.
Notes:
When in doubt, bring your car to an authorized or
certified Toyota dealer shop to make sure your tire problem is fixed.
The above tip assumes all the Toyota front end suspension parts are not
worn and within specs.
