Please help! My 99 Honda Passport has a very rough vibration that occurs all the time at highway speeds. I have the front-end alignmet checked for alignment and nothing was found to be defective. Anyways, I went ahead to have a new set of tires put on but still the problem remains the same. What should I do?

The best way to verify if the alignment is done properly is to take it to another alignment shop and have it checked there again. This way, you can get a second opinion if the first finding is correct. Also… when you do this, ask them if the tires and wheels are dynamically balanced.

Notes:

Sometimes, the equipment used by front-end garages is not routinely calibrated contributing to the erratic readings when performing the alignment. That is why from time to time, you should try having a second garage to check it for you to confirm if the readings are the same.

When in doubt, bring your vehicle to an authorized Toyota dealer shop.
